Learn how to access, update, and use your degree plan to stay on track toward graduation.
Why Your Degree Plan Matters
Your degree plan helps you see what you have completed, what you still need, and how to choose classes that move you toward graduation.
Your degree plan is currently stored in OneDrive so you and your advisor can review, update, and plan your courses together each semester.
How to Access Your Degree Plan with Office 365
Step 1: Log in to Mustang Express
Go to Mustang Express and sign in using your WNMU username and password.

Step 2: Open OneDrive
Once you are in Mustang Express, look on the right-hand side and select the OneDrive icon.

Step 3: Log in Again if Prompted
OneDrive may ask you to log in again. Use your Mustang Express credentials.

Step 4: Select Shared
Once OneDrive opens, select Shared from the menu on the left.

Step 5: Find Your Degree Plan File
Look for an Excel file titled βDegree Plan β Your Last Name, Your First Name, Your W#.β

Step 6: Open the File Menu
Move your mouse over the file. When you see three vertical dots, select the dots to open the file menu.

Step 7: Select Open
A menu will appear. Select Open.

Step 8: Choose How to Open the File
Select either Open in Excel Online or Open in Excel. Some systems may display these as Open in Browser or Open in App.
Tip: Excel Online opens in a browser and automatically saves. Open in Excel opens the file in the desktop app.

Step 9: Select Open Excel or Yes if Prompted
If you choose Open in Excel or Open in App, a dialog box may appear. Select Open Excel.

Step 10: Enable Editing
When the file opens in Excel, select Enable Editing and then Edit Workbook on the yellow bar.

Step 11: Update and Save Your Plan
Enter or update your information on the spreadsheet and select the save icon in the upper-left corner. The updated version will save to OneDrive.

Temporary Access Process
Degree Plans Will Move to Self-Service. Right now, degree plans are accessed through OneDrive. In the future, you will be able to access your degree plan directly through Mustang Express using DegreeWorks.

This section will explain how to read each part of your degree plan, including completed courses, remaining requirements, electives, total credits, and notes from your advisor. Screenshots and examples will be added here.
What to Do After Opening Your Degree Plan
- Understand your degree plan: Learn what each section means so you can track your progress correctly.
- Compare it with your transcript: Your transcript shows what you completed. Your plan shows how it applies.
- Register for classes: Once you know what you need, register for courses that move you forward.
