Financial Aid is one of the most important first steps in preparing to pay for college. Completing this process early helps ensure that your funding is ready when you need it.
Even if you don’t think you’ll qualify, complete the FAFSA. You may still be eligible for state or institutional aid.
Why Financial Aid Comes First

- You must submit a new FAFSA every year.
Submit the FAFSA
- Gather last year’s tax information.
- Complete the FAFSA as early as possible.
After You Submit
It usually takes about 5–10 days for WNMU to receive your FAFSA.

- You may still have required documents.
- Track your progress in Mustang Express.
- Use the Financial Aid walkthrough guide if needed.
Download Missing Forms
- Download required forms from the Financial Aid website.
- Complete them as soon as possible to avoid delays.
