As you prepare for another semester here at WNMU, we at the Advising Center want to remind you of some key points.
Financial Aid
You must submit a new FAFSA each year as part of the financial aid process. On October 1st the FAFSA opens up for students to start submitting information in preparation for funding the next academic year. Visit the webpage below to get started applying for Financial Aid: https://financialaid.wnmu.edu/apply/
You can always check your Financial Aid status through Mustang Express. Financial Aid created a really nice walkthrough guide, which you can find here: https://financialaid.wnmu.edu/basics/requirements/
If you are missing items, you can download the appropriate forms here: https://financialaid.wnmu.edu/forms/
You can submit your completed forms or missing documents to the Office of Financial Aid via e-mail at FADocuments@wnmu.edu or via fax at: (575) 538-6189
Remember, you can check your progress in Mustang Express.

Have you Declared your Major?
1) Log into Mustang Express: http://mycampus.wnmu.edu
2) Click the “Student Tab”
3) Under the “Useful Links” section, click on the “Major Declaration Workflow” Link
4) Fill out the form including your major & minor
5) Click “Submit”
Follow your Degree Plan
Pick your Classes

View Holds on your Student Records
1) Log into Mustang Express: http://mycampus.wnmu.edu
2) Click the “Student Tab”
3) Click on “Check Grades, Transcripts, etc.”
4) Click “View Holds”
Get your Textbooks & Course Materials
Textbooks are now included in tuition and fees. The fee is $25 per credit hour. The following webpage has additional information about the textbook program, how to Opt Out, and answers to frequently asked questions:

Once you are on the bookstore’s website, you can search by entering your W#
OR
Search using “Shop by Course”
- Select Department from the drop down list
- Select Course
- Select Section
- Click “Find Materials”
You can also access textbook information through your Canvas account by following the steps below:
- Click on “Follett Discover” (in the menu bar on the left side of the screen)
- Select the term from the drop-down menu
- Click “Update”
Set up a Payment Plan
